Any mask similar style to p10 but better venting? - singergal67 - 01-18-2025 I've only used p10 and I like the minimalist fit. However even a tiny bit of rebreathing is enough to make me feel wide awake as I discovered during the pandemic wearing cloth masks to work. I think I'm getting some slight condensation intermittently in the vent after a couple of hours that wakes me and prevents going back to sleep with the mask on. When this happens I don't feel much venting on exhale. So looking for advice on different nasal pillow style ideally similar fit to p10 RE: Any mask similar style to p10 but better venting? - Deborah K. - 01-18-2025 You might like the new F&P Nova Micro pillows mask. It's small like the P10, and the headgear is nearly identical. I don't know much about rebreathing, and whether this mask would prevent that, but it's a really nice mask. If you decide to get it, make sure you get the fit pack. I can't use my beloved Bleep right now because of skin problems, so I used an old ResMed P30i, but I hated how it felt and that it leaked like crazy. I like the F&P MUCH better. I hope you soon find relief from the rebreathing problem. RE: Any mask similar style to p10 but better venting? - singergal67 - 01-18-2025 Excellent thank you. I will try the nova out. RE: Any mask similar style to p10 but better venting? - DaveL - 01-18-2025 I’m trying the micro out. Bought it yesterday. First night was really tough Noisy. AHI was really high DaveL RE: Any mask similar style to p10 but better venting? - Sleeprider - 01-18-2025 Before the P10 I used the Swift FX. Better headgear and fit on the nasal pillows, but the air vent was not a mesh and can be felt in front of the mask. It's fine if it doesn't blow on your wife's shoulders. On the positive side, your dog won't press his butt in your face. Life lessons from Sleeprider. RE: Any mask similar style to p10 but better venting? - Rickyricardo - 01-18-2025 The Swift FX is the best nasal pillow mask but it has been discontinued, sort of, my provider still sells it but ResMed refers to it as the predecessor of the P10. Tip: stock up. It has a huge advantage over the P10 because it has proper adjustable strap for head diameter (cheek to scalp) and a separate velcro strap for fore and aft fit (back of the head to the ears). Which you can replace on your own with almost any velcro strap. And it fits and stays put better than the new P30i which is a terrible design, relying on the accordion style tubing to hold it in place vertically and has no small feeder hose so the huge main hose connects right to it at the top of your head, which means you lose distance from the PAP not only due to no feeder hose, but also due to it being mounted on top of your melon. |
