external humidifiers - cexer - 01-18-2025

are there external humidifiers which work with the resmed 10 series and the climate line air tubing
(i've been searching, but i wasn't so lucky) ?

they may have bigger tanks than the internal one,
so this could be another idea for preventing dry-outs in the middle of the night.

Homemade humidifier enlargements are published on this forum; you need to search a bit.
You can also purchase expensive external chambers with circulators on Amazon for CPAP.

External transfer pump style, there's a CSpring brand.

External CPAP and ventilator humidifier, look up Fisher and Paykel.

i've seen people attaching like bottles,
but this would also enhance the dead space and i don't know how much it matters.

actually i came from there but opened a new threat to not go further offtopic.

@dave:
i've seen the cspring stuff. its expensive for just a container with a pump.
it would not be too hard to thinker that oneself, but the pump would probably be to loud.

i've also seen a youtube video where someone did this,
but can't find it anymore.

a check valve could prevent the dead space issue if they seal good.
also with the bottles.

then there is the question of a external humidifier with the climate line connected to a separate power supply.
the resmed 10 series has a menu option "external humidifier". what is it doing, exactly ? is it about dead space ?

i've seen a youtube video about the fisher & paykel hc 150, probably from the same guy like the other video.
that's a volume of water which i could work with, and the baseplate whare the device can be fixated on is also looking good, but much clutter anyway.

will see. thank you.
