cold air s9 resmed - rp1scooter - 12-28-2013 The air being sent to my mask is very cold. When I check the tub on my S9 RESMED machine it is also cold. The auto temp setting is at 79. How do I check if my humidifier is working? thx Joanie RE: cold air s9 resmed - Airstream - 12-28-2013 Hello and welcome! Resmed has a video and other information on this here: http://www.resmed.com/us/products/h5i/videos.html?nc=patients&sec=true Hope this helps. RE: cold air s9 resmed - DOOM_NX - 12-28-2013 The humidifier tub is never going to feel warm. ResMed Wrote:Q: Is there a simple way for me to check that my H5i heater plate is working properly? Do you use the ClimateLine heated hose? I found that it made a great difference in both comfort and warmth. RE: cold air s9 resmed - trish6hundred - 12-28-2013 Hi rp1scooter, WELCOME! to the forum.! Hang in there for more responses to your post and best of luck to you. RE: cold air s9 resmed - rp1scooter - 12-28-2013 Thanks for the welcome and quick responses. I went thru the heater plate check and the plate temp after running at level 6 for a 60 secs was only very sightly warm. Should it be hotter? As for the heated hose, I'm quite sure I have it, but I'll confirm on Monday with my supplier. thx Joanie RE: cold air s9 resmed - justMongo - 12-28-2013 (12-28-2013, 01:38 PM)rp1scooter Wrote: Thanks for the welcome and quick responses. The heater plate should not get very hot, especially in the time given for the test. It's purpose is to warm the water in the tank, increasing its vapor pressure to humidify air passing over the water. RE: cold air s9 resmed - rp1scooter - 12-28-2013 I have a twist interlock, therefore a heated hose. Since the plate does not get hot, the heated hose becomes a non factor? I'll have to try and get a replacement for the plate? thx Joanie RE: cold air s9 resmed - zonk - 12-28-2013 (12-28-2013, 01:38 PM)rp1scooter Wrote: Thanks for the welcome and quick responses.
