New user with ramping problem - gus3232 - 12-30-2013 Hello people Really wish I had stumbled across this site before. What a great source of information. I am having a problem with my ResMed AutoSet S8 Spirit machine. After it woke me up last night, I noticed that when the machine starts up, the ramping number on the screen gradually increases and then kind of resets. It starts at 8.0 and every 4-5 seconds, it increases by 0.1. I don't feel any actual difference in air pressure. When it gets to around 15, it's like the machine reboots, all pressure is gone and you can feel the mask cushion "go flat" and the suction pressure is next to zero. The air-flow then restarts and the same thing starts over again. I checked the power connections and it all looks fine. Am wondering if it is a fault, or some kind of reset is required, or I turn off ramping altogether (don't know how to do that). Has anyone else had this? It is driving me crazy. My knowledge of all the settings is fairly limited unfortunately. Thank you. RE: New user with ramping problem - zonk - 12-30-2013 Hi gus3232, welcome aboard Go to section one for the setup menu instruction and section three to ask for the clinical manual via email http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-pressure/change-cpap-pressure-settings-adjusting-your-machine-with-a-clinician-setup-manual When you get the manual, scroll down to troubleshooting section, tells you the solutions for "Treatment pressure seems low" RE: New user with ramping problem - me50 - 12-30-2013 Maybe you can try turning the ramp off and see what happens RE: New user with ramping problem - trish6hundred - 12-30-2013 Hi gus3232, WELCOME! to the forum.!
