Remstar Pro C-Flex (450P) - JJJ - 03-16-2014 A friend has this machine and needs to change her pressure settings. When I first saw it I assumed it was an APAP, but after going into the clinician's settings there is only one pressure setting (no separate min and max settings). I've asked my friend Mr. Google, and he was notably unhelpful. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a straight one-pressure PAP machine? RE: Remstar Pro C-Flex (450P) - zonk - 03-16-2014 Remstar Pro C-Flex (450P) is a fixed pressure machine, APAP model number 550 60 series machines: pro 460 and Auto 560 RE: Remstar Pro C-Flex (450P) - zonk - 03-16-2014 PRS1 50 series http://respironicsremstars.respironics.com/ PRS1 60 series http://www.healthcare.philips.com/asset.aspx?alt=&p=http://www.healthcare.philips.com/pwc_hc/us_en/homehealth/sleep/systemone/pdf/systemone-comparison-guide.pdf RE: Remstar Pro C-Flex (450P) - JJJ - 03-16-2014 Thanks, zonk! I got SleepyHead installed on her computer and showed her how to use it. Her AHIs were not bad, 3.5 or so average and only occasionally going over 5. She wanted to raise her pressure, so I got her the clinician manual and showed her the secret way to change the settings. She did so and she will now monitor the results with SleepyHead, tweaking the pressure as necessary. And I showed her Apnea Board, so now she can search for answers and ask questions here if she needs to. Another user successfully taking charge of her health. |
