Mask to Nasa - Dreamcatcher - 04-02-2012

With the advancement of all things mask related wouldnt it be a great idea to use the foam that they use in matresses in mask seals. I believe they call it memory foam. That way it should eliminate a lot of leaks as it would fit to everyones faces no matter how different it is. Maybe in the future all masks will just be like jelly and mould themselves to your face.

Memory foam is an open cell foam, so you would be introducing a guaranteed continuous leak. I would guess that it could be allowed for in the programming though...

And it gets very hot. And it is harder than brick when cold.

I had one of those "Memory Foam" mattresses and it DID FREEZE when we had to evacuate our home in Michigan in the middle of winter.

It was never the same after that. Don't know why?? Dont-know

Not sure I like to have a mask made from the stuff. Oh-jeez
