Respironics System One Humidifier - pk6301 - 04-05-2012

Is it my imagination or does the System One Humidifier use less water? I changed over from a constant pressure machine to a variable pressure machine about a month ago. On my old machine it GULPED water, on this new machine it only sips water. It is just an observation:dont-know

you're basically right. higher temperature and higher pressure = more water. under constant pressure cpap you always use say 12 and water use is based on that much air. under variable or automatic, your pressure may be 8 - 12. so if you spend alot of time below the 12 you'll use less water because of the less pressure.
