New User First Week - Stuffed Nose - Reuven Gruber - 10-05-2014
My nasal passages get restricted during therapy. Its like a stuffed nose but there is no mucus. It clears up in about 30-60 minutes after therapy stops. Last night I had to discontinue therapy early in the morning before I was ready to get up. What can I do about this.
( My AHI was 31 during the sleep lab with no central apnea. Last night my AHI was 1.1 , no obstructive, and the balance mostly central all with a duration of less than 17 seconds)

Welcome to stuffy noses club
Your user profile say "Humidifier: None" try the humidifier first to see if can helped with added moisture from the humidifier

You might try using your humidifier and see if that helps you.

Thanks for the reply. I have a loner machine and unfortunately it doesn't have a humidifier

You need to talk to whoever supplied you with the loaner machine and have them provide a heated humidifier. The reason your stuffed nose has no mucous is because it has been dried up by the air moving through. Avoiding this is one of the reasons for having a heated humidifier. Some people do fine with no humidifier, others do not.
