CPAP to BiPap????? - brianwood619 - 02-04-2015

Hey gang

My data card came back from my doctor yesterday with a handwritten note telling me to prepare to cinch my mask down as he has changed my pressure and upped it to 17 based on the data he was seeing. The note also said if it looks like my pressure needs to go to 20 he is switching me to BiPap for higher pressure. I slept ok last night with the new pressure just increased ramp time to allow me to get used to it. I'm thankful my son and I have a doc that is involved with his patients the way he is.....but I hope it stops at 17!!!!

BiPAP is not uncommon at higher pressures. It can permit greater expiratory relief.
Also, The ResMed VPAPs (their name for bilevel) can run up to 25 cm-H2O.
