Nasal mask issue - catalina - 05-14-2015 I have the Wisp nasal mask. When I was with the specialist, he determined the s/m size was for me. I started with it but since I am a side sleeper I would have to reajust my head and the mask constantly because of leaks. So on Saturday night, I used the large mask to see if it would be better. It was not as comfortable because it goes lower near my upper lip. But in the morning I had NO AHI! I went back on the s/m afterwards not being sure if I should be using the other. This week at my appointment at the clinic he said my data was good with both masks so its up to me. Is there a medium one somewhere I can buy??? They have s/m, L and XL in the bag. RE: Nasal mask issue - worn_out_in_lebanon - 05-14-2015 I don't know the answer, but I can relate. The medium pillow in the P10 is a little too small to keep a seal all night, and the large pillow is uncomfortable against my upper lip after a full night. If there was one in between, it would be perfect... RE: Nasal mask issue - OpalRose - 05-14-2015 (05-14-2015, 12:16 PM)catalina Wrote: I have the Wisp nasal mask. This may be the hardest part of your therapy. If your mask doesn't fit properly, you will have a hard time being compliant. RE: Nasal mask issue - antdroid - 05-14-2015 I used the wisp for a week. I had a similar issue but in the opposite direction. I started with XL's and went down to L's. But then I just ended up switching completely off of the nasal mask to pillows (Nuance Pro). I found that using a bandaid or later, bandaid-like tape, was good for not only the red bump that was caused by the mask on my bridge of nose, but for also sealing it. They also making liners for nasal masks that may help. The XL's were probably a bit more comfortable and less leaky, but they also were hitting my lip occasionally and sliding around even though it held leaks. The L's were way more comfortable and seemed to work well with the tape. RE: Nasal mask issue - k_ogre - 05-15-2015 As far as I know s/m l xl are the only size . I started with the wisp but quickly went to the P10 and never looked back. Maybe pillows are the answer never hurt to give it a try |
