A CPAP user manual or user guide is a book of instructions describing how to make various patient-accessible setting changes to CPAP from within the machine's user menu. Several items can be adjusted from within the menu structure, including CPAP ramp, exhalation pressure relief, mask type, and humidifier settings,

CPAP user manuals are generally less exhaustive than CPAP clinician setup manuals, which include instructions for making clinician-accessible changes to various settings like CPAP pressure via the clinician setup menu.
