SleepyHead software is a free, cross-platform, open-source research tool designed for reviewing and exploring data produced by CPAP machines and equipment used in the treatment of sleep apnea and other sleep disorders.

This software was developed through thousands of hours of hard work by Australian developer Mark Watkins, who is known in the sleep apnea and in the developer areneas as Jedimark

SleepyHead can convert data from data-capable xPAP machines and produce graphs and reports detailing important events, levels, and trends in the breating of a person using such a machine. However, not all PAPs generate or provide access to accumulated data. Some manufacturers offer machines which are "compliance only" (providing hours used and very basic settings). Beginning with version 0.9.8, SleepyHead works with the full range of Contec CMS50 series of Oximeters (and clones, like Pulox) either standalone or synced with CPAP data. SleepyHead also supports ResMed and PRS1 oximeter attachments, and file import from ChoiceMMed MD300W1 oximeters.

SleepyHead is available for personal computers running Linux, macOS, and Windows operating systems. For Mac and Windows installations it is available as a self-installing executable file. Linux users must build the application from source files.
