Who or what is the "WikiEnforcer"?
The WikiEnforcer is the Apnea Board Wiki Editor who is in charge of assigning and removing Editor rights and privileges. This position is assigned to a particular Editor on the wiki, but the identity of the WikiEnforcer will be held in strict confidence so they can perform their functions properly without fear of being ostracized.
I'm trying my best to help - Why has the WikiEnforcer removed my ability to edit pages?
Sometimes, people volunteer to become an Apnea Board Wiki Editor, but they do not yet have the necessary skills to properly edit or write wiki articles, or perhaps they are not yet familiar with how a wiki should be organized or operated. If your ability to edit wiki pages has been removed by the WikiEnforcer, it does not mean that we hate you, that you are stupid, that you are being punished, or that we are angry with you. What it means is that we truly admire your willingness to help make the Apnea Board Wiki a better place, but at this time, your edits have demonstrated that you may not yet possess all the knowledge or skills necessary to effectively edit a wiki, or that your knowledge level concerning sleep apnea and CPAP machines is not yet at an advanced enough level to participate in the editing process.
If my rights have been removed, is this permanent?
Removal of Editor privileges is not necessarily permanent. We have hope for you yet! You can begin by educating yourself on the proper way to edit wiki pages. Go to Wikipedia's page on Article Development, and our pages such as the Apnea Board Editor Guide, the Apnea Board Manual of style, and the Neutral point of view page. Start reading about how to become a good wiki Editor. Generally, once a wiki Editor's privileges have been removed, there is a probationary period of time during which they will not be allowed to edit pages. This period of time varies between several weeks and several months, depending upon whether or not the Editor has demonstrated to the WikiEnforcer that they have learned how to properly edit wiki pages or their knowledge level has increased with regard to Sleep Apnea and CPAP.
How can I demonstrate to the WikiEnforcer that I've become more knowledgeable on editing?
If you would like your Editor privileges to be reinstated, simply write a Private Message (PM) on the Apnea Board Forum to "WikiEnforcer" and tell WikiEnforcer in a short message what you've learned (about being a better wiki Editor) since your editing privileges have been removed and why you think your editing privileges should be restored. It takes time to learn about wiki editing, so make sure you give yourself enough time to study and learn before you ask the WikiEnforcer to restore your editing rights. If your request to be restored is made too soon after privileges have been removed, your request is likely to be rejected.

The WikiEnforcer has not restored my privileges like I asked. What now?
Wiki editing is not for everyone. Good Editors are those people who have a solid understanding of how a wiki works. They also have solid skill sets, including the ability to spell correctly, format text properly, use good grammar and perform editing tasks with an understanding of community collaboration, using wisdom and common sense. Apnea Board members who do not qualify to be effective wiki Editors can always try to help others by becoming active on the Apnea Board Forum.
