2 questions: Can i take melatonin with CSA and is CSA permanent?
Can i take melatonin when i have central sleep apnea?
i still struggle to fall asleep with the mask but when i eventually do, i sleep for 3 to 4 hours max.
I dont wanna use a sleeping pill cause that only increases my OSA events a lot and i dont want that.
i used melatonin 3mg last night but my CSA for 5 hours of sleep went up to AHI 7, the other nights it was about AHI 4.
is this just a coincidence?
second question:
i might end up needing some kind of medication to fix my messed up breathing patern at night but still need the breathing device (CPAP for now, hopefully Bipap or better soon).
But if this medication helps, will i have to use this medication and the cpap device forever or will my brain re-learn how to breathe at night without the device eventually?

First question, I have Central Apnea and have used melatonin. I suppose you should be fine.
Second question unfortunately can't be answered. This would need to be directed to your doctor.
Mask Primer
Positional Apnea
Attach OSCAR, etc.
