What do you make of this

What do you make of this
Hi guys, some input needed. I'm having another sleep study done next week because even though my AHI is under 5, things have gone haywire!. When I first got the machine, my average AHI was about 1.6....but suddenly, this is starting to appear on a very regular basis and I'm now feeling like I did before the cpap...tired, listless etc! Even with all the events as shown, this one said AHI 4.4, I truly think there is something very amiss.

There does not appear to be enough data to make even an educated guess as to what is happening or has happened. This condition could be caused by environmental or physiological changes. The best thing would be to let your sleep doc determine what is occurring.
INFORMATION ON APNEA BOARD FORUMS OR ON APNEABOARD.COM SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS MEDICAL ADVICE.
ALWAYS SEEK THE ADVICE OF A PHYSICIAN BEFORE SEEKING TREATMENT FOR MEDICAL CONDITIONS, INCLUDING SLEEP APNEA.

It would have been interesting to see what the oximeter readings were, there is something going off with all those apneas which seem to be swarming during your REM sleep, good luck with the study. A deffinate case for a sleep doctors to earn his money.

The resmed oximetry stats are blank- does the sleepyhead show them? I will be taking that print out with me to the sleep study coz I really don't think that is normal!! Oh-jeez

Take everything you can but also before you go sit down and write what you want to know, its very easy to forget and by the time you have remember a question its usually too late. Make sure he tries to explain it so you understand but if you dont make sure you tell them and ask for another explanation. My clinic told me nothing and everything I have learnt over the few years Ive had this, I have self taught myself.

Yep I will be doing just as you say!! The problem here is that when I have the sleep study, it's just a technician....if I want to see the specialist, it's over $300. Anyways, hopefully, it will all get sorted!

Hi weeble
The S9 can not tell whether you,re awake or asleep it just record apnea if it fit the description and at the sleep study wouldn't be noted.
The AHI 4.4 within the accepted range below 5. All events are short ones within 10 and 17 seconds which is good as there are no long ones.
Hopefully your sleep doctor can sort it out and good luck with the sleep study.
Some drugs, sleeping position on the back, and large leaks can affect AHI, For me when get congested or lying in bed talking/tossing the AHI goes up. BTW to read oximetry data on the ResScan you need the S9 oximeter adapter kit which is quite expensive as shown in the oximetry video

Where's your leak rate information graph? Did it just print out on another page? If so, was there anything abnormal with your leaks?
We're all family here...you can call me B36 if you'd like!Cool

Thanks Zonk, yeah I know it's an acceptable range, but as I said b4, I've been averaging much much lower....anyway, back to the sleep study I go.
