AHI < 1; cpap for over 1 yr; still tired during daytime
Hi,

Like title said, I have been a cpap user for over 1 yr (close to 2), but still get excessively tired during daytime. I rarely if ever feel "well-rested".
I get excellent AHI, less than 1 and even zero some nights.

Could there be some settings/pressure changing causing me to wake up? but not so much to register as an event?

Appreciate any insights. Thanks in advance.

Overall your data looks really good. I do see an opportunity to raise minimum pressure to reduce the flow limitations and get you into EPR full time if it's been helpful - right now you're only leveraging EPR when your pressure gets above 6cmH20. I also see some snore detected which also bolsters my assertion that your not using enough pressure.

Would you mind sharing a zoomed in view of the flow rate graph at 1 hr after you fell asleep and 1.5hrs after (around 3:40a-3:50a)? Would love to see what your breathing looks like in REM at these pressure settings. Make sure you can see each individual breath so we can evaluate.

Correct, if you min pressure is increased to 6, then EPR 2 would work fully. As is, it needs to wait to work until events force pressure up from 5.
Mask Primer

Positional Apnea

Attach OSCAR, etc.

How long do you normally sleep?

5 hrs is probably not long enough.

Make sure you are tired, follow good sleep hygiene as per Wiki on this site so you get a good start to the night before putting mask on.

Try to get 7 hrs sleep and see how you feel....

Thanks. will try 6 as min and see how it works out.

haha, 5 hrs is just time with cpap. according to Garmin, I slept 10 hrs that nite. I think I was so tired that night, I crash and went to sleep first.. Then woke up for bathroom break and remember to put on my cpap.
