I would advise not doing the overtightened mask. If you feel you must to seemingly control leaking, then this plainly indicates something isn't right with the mask for you, be it the mask model, sizing, or the method of tightening.

RE: ASV assistance
The tightening as mush as possible might itself be the problem. Over tight will typically crush and distort the mask cushion, creating less seal than more by causing more areas for air leaks.

RE: ASV assistance
No, it has absolutely nothing to do with the mask. Lose, tight extra tight it doesn't matter. I didn't have this issue at all this just came out of the blue. I've done Simplus, Airtouch Evora Full quattro FX quattro regular AirFit you name it it's the same. Something wrong with my settings and I can't pinpoint the exact reason for it.
I need someone real savvy at this machine to lend me a hand because even though AHI is normal, someone with insomnia that has to wake up 4 5 6 times a night to tinker with a mask is not helping me at all.p.s not saying you are not by any stretch of the imagination is that you are going the wrong direction. I think I posted I'm pretty knowledgeable about this but I've gone from CPAP to bi level to ASV and this one is confusing me because I never ever had an issue with it ?
God bless you

The mask and high leaks will affect every CPAP, BPAP, S, ST, ST-A, ASV and ventilator class machine there is. Since I can't read this sleep HQ, what level of leaks are you dealing with?
And I do know ASV will not work well with high leaks. There's savvy people here but without the data, we're flying blind and I don't like to guess.
