I have been using the Resmed Airsense 10 since April. I was doing well over the summer, but since the time change to daylight savings I am again experiencing fatigue and tiredness in the afternoons and have been occasionally taking naps of 20-40 minutes, two to three times a week, usually on weekends.
Also past couple months I have both nasal and throat phlegm (clear) in the morning after waking up. I am using the humidifier and have been very regular in using my cpap. Please see attached statistics from OSCAR.
It is winter here and I was hoping my circulation would have improved but I am also still experiencing cold in the extremities i.e. hands and feet.
I have the same machine. S10 *for her* with humidifier and heated hose.
I use a nasal mask.
Change to Standard Time has thrown me for a loop too. Toronto--pretty far south, but it still affects me.
Question: what temperature do you keep your sleeping quarters at? Do you have a furnace? Does it have a humidifier?
(I've used cpap for about 35 years; I'm an engineer....I'm wondering if your ambient conditions are affecting your sleep quality.)

Savings time. Bah humbug.
My dog gives me heck when I don't feed her on schedule...

There is a humidifier attached to the furnace. The Thermostat shows the humidity in the house to be around 27%. Heat is set to 19.5C at night, 21 during the day.
Thanks.
I have a Nest thermostat and I'm glad it tells me what the humidity is in the house. Temp in Toronto is about 5 degrees C right now. Nest says that my humidity is about 42%. Temp inside is 24% C...Upstairs is really cold at normal temperatures. So I crank the thermostat. I have no issue with condensation between the glass on my poor builder's windows.
I use about 80% of the water in the humidifier reservoir with the S10 *for her* set on auto.
I use a nasal mask. ResMed N20. I've been taping my lips for the last week or so.
I use a home-made pad under my chin that hasn't done well for me lately. It's so-so now. It used to be good.
I have no problem with phlegm and I solved the issues I used to have with minor nosebleeds a few years ago by installing the thermostat.
I've used cpap a long time. going on 35 years and this is the most comfortable machine I've had.
I hope my story helps....

I was a ski instructor for 35 years in Ontario. However, I've been feeling quite cold during the night trying to sleep for the last few months. I'd stared to wonder whether it was the two vaccine shots I had. Just had a third.
As an engineer I've had to solve HVAC issues for many years. Often it ws the crappy equipment installed, or the way it ws installed. I gave in and bought a humidifier for the furnace after my ukulele cracked. Now my cpap reservoirs have enough capacity. Before they did not.
I find that I'm very sensitive to minor changes in the settings on my S10 for her.

Thanks Dave, I am going to try the nasal rinse (Neilmed) at night before going to bed to clear my sinuses and see if that helps with the phlegm. Things are getting better on the nap front as I am definitely feeling more energetic in the afternoons. The ~4pm sunset is making me dull in the evenings.
As I get older I don't see a need for a 30-40min nap as a problem? It's a chance to recharge my batteries and has little to do with my Apnea. My AHI is typically less than 1 so my need for a nap has no relevance to sleep apnea lol. Just because I am older and running full tilt.

Got the Neilmed nasal rinse and used it for the first time last night. It is still early but this morning the phlegm was reduced though not completely gone. I will keep using for a week to see if things improve.
AHI is usually below 1 with occasional spikes but has not gone above 1.9 in the last 3 months.
Most afternoons if I have work then I am able to power through the day. It is the weekends where if I am not out of the house then there is the tendency to take a nap. Not sure if this is a hold over from before starting the CPAP therapy, but almost feels like a habit/ritual to go lie down.
