Thanks

You see, I have been looking for it for quite a while, and the lowest-risk options I have found so far were the nasal stent and CPAP/APAP.

Well, I haven't concluded yet whether there's a better long-term solution. I recently decided that I’m not stopping at CPAP, so I’m just at the beginning of exploring alternatives.

The way I see it, ideally, you want to be as accurate as possible when treating obstructive sleep apnea, which means starting by identifying the points of obstruction. We spend so much time and effort on treatment; maybe we should invest more in refining the diagnosis. As I mentioned, DISE may be the best method for this, but I'm unsure if I'll go ahead with it if it’s prohibitively expensive. If that's not an option, I may need to discuss other solutions with the three ENTs I’ll be seeing in the upcoming month.

Also, I want to address something relevant to your question. Unlike you, I’m open to the idea of taking risks with a surgical procedure, provided I gather enough information to make a well-informed decision first. A typical statement like "You're a good candidate for UPPP because you have a small airway and large tonsils" won't cut it for me.
