Air in my stomach
#41
RE: Air in my stomach
Here is this mornings.  Got the most sleep I have had in months! Yahoo... Every time I woke I did go use the restroom, so I did turn the machine off. Still got a little air in stomach.   Any reason I cant try 8.5?

Since you're still getting air in your stomach, then yes... go ahead and try 8.5.

Glad you're seeing/feeling some improvement.

RE: Air in my stomach
Maybe you guys hear this all the time I don’t know, but the hope that you guys on this board have given me I’m overwhelmed. Two weeks ago I had no hoped and I felt totally trapped. Now I feel like I have answers and a course of action. I sure can’t wait to get my new machine and start learning about that.

For the sake of learning what can you tell me about the little hypoxias that keep popping up there?

Can you tell me what I am seeing here? Should I go back to 9? I did not seem to get as much air in the stomach. But I do not feel rested. Early on when I got up my esophagus felt really dry and scratchy.

RE: Air in my stomach
Can someone teach me about the Hypopneas I am seeimng? (Not hypoxias as I said early. I said the wrong thing.)  Last night I saw 12 of them.   I want to know how concerned about those I need to be.   I had moved back up to 9 last night a felt pretty good in the morning when it came to air in my stomach.   I also got some sleep. So if I am below 5 AHI I dont need worry about it I am good to go? Sorry for all these questions you all have heard over and over.

RE: Air in my stomach
You do not have a clinically significant number of hypopneas. I encourage you to do some research on hypopneas.

You need to stop changing your settings so frequently. Leave them alone and allow your body to adapt. Then we can make small changes in an attempt to improve your therapy without aggravating the aerophagia.

The good news is that as you adapt your aerophagia will likely subside.

Thank you for your reply. I had thought I would sit at 9 for a while. I just dont have any real idea what I am doing. Any place you can suggest I can find good info on hypopneas in regards to cpap?

Thanks again.

Old Bert,

There are a couple of AB wiki pages that cover hypopnea and other events:
http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...leep_apnea

and

http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php/Hypopnea

Hope that helps...

Yes you do. You are keeping the pressure at 9.

RE: Air in my stomach
There is a big gap in my data for last night.  Except I had my mask on all night and I did not get up and turn it off for a long time during that time.  Wonder what does that mean? I wonder if I turned it off and went to the restroom and did not turn it back on tell I used the restroom next.  Weird... I have never done that before if that is the case.
