AirSense 11 moon icon instead of bars?

AirSense 11 moon icon instead of bars?
I recently got an AirSense 11.  I'm happy with it although I really prefer to have my basic info about my night on the screen as it was on the AirSense 10 and whatever machine I had before that (Respironics, I think).  Yes, I know I should do all that stuff with Oscar and know more about it, but I'm sleeping well, have almost no events/night and so I'm not worrying about it.  But the 11 only tells me how long I had the mask on and if there were any mask leaks.  Otherwise I have to have the app and use my phone.  Grrr.  A few weeks ago it was my smart washing machine (which is not hooked up to my phone.  Until it can sort my laundry, move it to my dryer and fold and put it away, it's not smart and I don't need my phone to deal with it).  Smart this and smart that.  All hooked up to our phones.  It just seems so intrusive.

Anyway, because I do want a quick look at events/night and so on, I'm forced to use the blasted app.  I've connected the machine to my iPhone. via Bluetooth  No problem.  And cell service shows up in "About."  But as you can see in the picture, there's a moon covering the bars.  Not a line or grayed out bars.  A moon. (see picture)  I found something in manual that called this "silent mode" but that's all I can find.   It's not the same as airplane mode.  The manual and the app say something different about not having cell service, like that or those gray bars I mentioned.  I've googled but I can't find anything else about this silent mode.  I've looked in the regular menu and the clinical menu.  Nothing.  No info in the clinical manual, either.

Does anyone know anything about this silent mode?  Is it just another way of saying, "hey, we're not getting a signal here!"  (Even though I have full service on my phone in the same spot.  I'm not going to haul my machine around the house everyday just to upload info to the cloud.)
Oh, also, is it normal for the Bluetooth to turn on and off?  It only comes on when my phone is nearby and I have the app open.  (Really, why can't they just have the basic info pop up on the screen like on the older machines?)

Thank you for anything you can tell me and for putting up with my fussing and griping. Lolabove

I don't know what the little moon represents, except that there may not be service in your area.

Although, you should be able to view basic data on your Pap machine. You will need to select the "Advanced View".

The Advanced view can be enabled via the Settings screen.

You have a choice of Simple or Advanced. Choose Advanced.

According to the user manual, it means cellular mode is not enabled.
Here's a PDF of the manual. Scroll down to page 10.

Page 10 of the AS11 User's guide lists this as the Silent mode.  The device is functioning normally, but no data is being sent to the cloud.

I scoured my machine - no advanced view unless it is in the clinical settings.  I'll have to look there later.
Strange thing: the moon disappeared this morning.  I had 1 bar and all the info came through on the app.  I still would like to find advanced view, though.  Definitely will look later.

Yes, this is what I saw when looking up the moon.  There's no info on why it's on "silent" or how to enable cellular mode.  This is the only mention anywhere of silent mode.
As it turns out, this morning, the moon was gone and cellular turned up, all by itself.  A better explanation by ResMed in the booklet would be appreciated, though.

Thank you for the info.  I found it in the Clinical Settings and now I have what I want.  I don't know why they did it that way.  I got it here in Germany.  They would probably have a fit if they knew I could access those settings.  They don't like it when we lay people do things like that.   Wink

I know the manual says otherwise, but I'd have bet the moon setting was for PM.
