Aircurve 10 ASV Periodic Pressure Surges cause leaks

Aircurve 10 ASV Periodic Pressure Surges cause leaks
I'm a long time CPAP user. For the last several months I have not been able to prevent leaking and dry mouth. Even after taping mouth which does prevent mouth breathing, I then get leaks through the nasal seal. Mask fit is fine and I use new Airfit N20 cushion. However, I get periodic air pressure surges that always cause a leak either through my mouth or cushion. These air pressure surges don't seem to be in sync with my breating pattern. I have adjusted settings many times with no sucess. Could these pressure surges be an equipment malfunction?
Here are my current settings:
min epap 9.0
max epap 12.0
min ps 0
max ps 16.0
mode ASVauto

PS. Also don't understand the relationship between the epap and ps settings.

Ditto.

Possible issue 1 is the PS has a zero as minimum, so settings may be in need of an edit. As is, you're using EPAP for most of your therapy.

Possible issue 2 is your S9 is 2 generations old.

How many run hours are there?

EPAP by itself on the ASV will be like a CPAP. PS is the inhale setting that also kicks your breath when you have Central Apnea.
