New mask w/ fitting kit arrived from Supplier #20.
Looks like the fear my DME stiffed me was a false alarm. The nose pieces just seem to have a smell imparted from manufacturing. It varies considerably by size of nosepiece, bizarrely.
Also purchased an Amara View mask as a backup for if/when I need a chance. Good.
So now if that other retailer pulls through on the CPAP machine and it is indeed brand new, I'll have gotten out from under this for around $1300 total. Chances are I was looking around $3000 getting everything through the DME.
Thank god for online shopping. Now, if they could just make their websites look a bit less thrown together, I'm sure more people would be comfortable with it. :|
