Asphyxiation valve on mask

Asphyxiation valve on mask
I'm using  a Dreamstation asv with settings: max pres. 14, Max epap 11, Min epep 8, PS max 3.0, PS min 0, BPM auto. I've had AHI of 3.1 with these settings but last night AHI was 8.3? I've just started using this asv again last night. The safety valves on my F20 mask close intermittently  for no reason and stop me mid breath. Can these valves be removed? Setting PS min from 0 to 1 seems to stop this? I don't have any charts as I can't get Encore Pro 2 to display my data and Sleepyhead not available for this machine yet.

RE: Asphyxiation valve on mask
During use, the anti-asphyxiation valve should always be closed due to positive pressure in the mask. It only opens during machine failure or outage when negative pressure from your breathing occurs.

Thanks, I'm going to be changing my settings to get AHI lover and that will probably solve this problem.
