I am not advising you which machine to get: others here can help you with that.

Did you manage to post the results of your sleep study to the board?

I know I will always need xPAP therapy, and thought I had better get a back up machine.
No point in buying another one of the same, when for the same AUD I can get a better machine.

No, I was never diagnosed with UARS, but have many if not most of the symptoms described here and on links from this board, and so bit the bullet and went for it.

I am pretty sensitive to pressure and EPR/PS so chose to go with the Vauto to manage my Flow Limitations better.
I was only ever diagnosed with Severe Apnea, but know enough (I hope!) to think that FLs often precede the obstructive events. I often see the Vauto increase pressures slowly even there is not any Flow Limitation on the Charts. Or, to my untrained eyes, on the waveform on the Flow Charts. It then seems to lower the pressures sooner, which keeps my Median pressure ranges under control.  It seems there is a better/different algorithm there.

I was pretty much in what I call the Green Zone, AHI under 5, with the AutoSet For Her. I am currently still trying the find my sweet spot with the Vauto in terms of side effects and that seems to be a personal journey. It does give more control over the amount of Pressure Support in fractions of 1 cm H20, and should I need it later, I can go higher than 3 cm H20 which is all the AutoSet For Her offers. 

For me the thing is to make small changes, make them slowly and record/document how things go from there.
Each night is different.

CS pacewave seems to be an ASV at around AUD 4,000 if you shop around online. Doesn't sound like you need that, but I stand corrected pending your formal diagnosis: and few sites have them in store (even Resmed themselves, even over East).

As an Aussie I think that xPAP machines in Australia are seriously overpriced but all machines should be available (unless Covid has affected supply). I have two Resmed Vauto Bipap machines and both were sourced from the US (thank you Supplier #2).
