BiPAP AutoSV Advanced: dead after power surge

BiPAP AutoSV Advanced: dead after power surge
I have a Philips Resperonics BiPAP AutoSV Advanced machine that was working perfectly and after a power surge it won't start up.  It beeps 4 times then constant tone and shows message "Device Inoperative".
I don't have the hardware to troubleshoot for codes (nor a dinosaur computer with a serial port) and wondered what the most likely faulty component would be.  I'm guessing capacitors are fried??  Any thoughts?
Thanks!

the machine is dead. If covered under warranty try to get a Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV. If not covered get a Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV. Supplier #27 can quote a repair. The cheapest and easiest thing to do is to go to a CPAP supplier and ask them to plug your machine into a known good power supply. If that works, it is the AC adapter, if not then the machine probably is in need of replacement. Your insurance situation is unknown to us, but if your Provincial Health Plan approved ASV and it was damaged by a power surge, then you need to contact them to learn your next step.

My DreamStation died after a power surge. Thankfully it was under warranty, so I exchanged it at my DME. Now I keep plug my CPAP into a surge protector.

The power supply puts out 12.2V DC and powers up the machine which gives that message I posted above.  I was thinking a problem with something on the circuit board that is known to be sensitive to power changes since it occurred during a surge.

I assume #27 has the test equipment??

Yes , surge protector now.

I'd think those suppliers that repair CPAP devices could have the proper test tools needed to diagnose your machine's problem. Since your power brick is showing 12 Volts, it's likely the machine is zapped for good though.
