So this will likely be my last entry for the year on this year, it did not work at all. The pressure jut jumped up so much that I felt like I was suffocating and had to keep taking deep breaths to get any in my lungs and throat instead of my mouth. And the pressure jumped, then my mask started leaking more than usual even though it's not even a month old, and I only got 12 minutes or so. It's done that lately, I cannot even get an hour. But also this morning I was coughing up green and yellow stuff and lost my voice, wondering if I have an infection, I'll go to urgent care in a little bit, and I'm seeing my main doctor on Friday since they did get some OSCAR data I sent over and was told that this and stuff like the restlessness are not normal for CPAP. At this point htough, there's a part of me just ready to die up and accept I may die early.

I hope you can get help at the urgent care place. Please think of yourself as taking a little break from CPAP until you can consult further with your medical team. This is very different from throwing in the towel.

It's hard to be an active advocate for your health when you're exhausted, but you are working on that, and I applaud your efforts. Hang in there, and let's hope 2025 will be the year you finally get the sleep you need.

Well, the bad news is that I ache bronchitis, and I forgot to wash my water chamber due to being resting most of the day. I'm going to try with my Tempur Pedic in ah high upright position to see if that helps a bit, I had so many breathing disturbances last night. I just wish I could figure out why the high pressure doesn't seem to get in my lungs or why I get wide awake. Anyway, hope you have a good new years eve, take care.

So I am back after a few days, I've still got bronchitis but doing better, so here is an update. I was to meet with my doctor on Friday but then they also got sick and had to reschedule. Still have an ENT appointment on Tuesday, to see if the NeilMed rinse routine has helped at all with the deviated septum. I tried experimenting with the machine last night, took a few notes, I tried with the ramp on and set for 30 minutes to see if I could notice anything different. It was actually a bit relaxing at first, I didn't feel like I was suffocating under all the air, but I did notice that the mask and headgear, it just feels like a prison, every one I've tried. Then around the 24 minute mark, that's when I noticed my body was starting to go into hyperactive mode, like my legs started twitching and unable to rest, and feeling a need to get up in order to get it out. That's when I quit, but I also slept a bit better by putting three pillows under my head so I was a bit more upright.

If your body starts reacting at around a pressure of 6.4, you might try capping it at 6, so you'll know you won't be going up into that higher range that bothers you. Give it a whirl, maybe?

So I tried this last night, it didn't work, I only got 15 minutes before I got uncomfortable, I overslept due to taking half a doxyaline succinate tablet so it still war over ten hours. I got two screenshots, I am not sure.

If you only get 15 minutes, all under a 30 minutes Ramp control, it's basically zero therapy happening.

As Dave is suggesting, you were at low pressures for much of that brief period. For most people, a pressure of 4 or 5 leaves them feeling air-starved. I don't know whether this has been suggested before, but you might consider turning the ramp off and setting your min and max at 6. (You can leave your EPR at 3, though with a pressure of 6, the machine can only drop by 2.) See how that feels.
