[CPAP] Taking a look at my chart :)

Taking a look at my chart :)
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but I'm pretty interested in helping myself and improving my sleep apnea.

A bit about myself I was 19 when I was diagnosed with AHI of around 17 I believe (can't quite remember) and started using the cpap thereafter but it has been a long time since the clinic I was trialing at followed up or responded. BMI around 23.9.

I will say that some nights I throw off the mask and don't realize it until I wake up and other nights I can keep it on the whole time. Please send any suggestions you might have thank you!

RE: Taking a look at my chart :)
Your chart shows you are using an Autoset CPAP at 6.0 to 9.0 pressure with EPR 2. Your events are mainly central apnea or pauses in breathing, with several clusters of OA suggesting a possible positional issue or chin-tucking. When we see several obstructive very close together, we can pretty well conclude your airway is bent or obstructed due to your sleep or head/neck position. Overall you seem do do well with the therapy with good control of leaks and time of therapy.

I think the biggest improvement may come from considering sources positional obstruction, such as multiple pillows or chin-tucking, and you may need to reduce EPR from 2 to 1 to reduce ventilation that can flush CO2 and affect respiratory drive in some users. This is often called therapy onset central apnea and normally improves and self-resolves. Read the Optimizing Therapy wiki linked in my signature with specific attention to the sections on central apnea and positional apnea.
