Caked Residue In CPAP Water Reservoir, Is It Normal?
I noticed it when I went to dump water out. I'm unable to load a picture because it is too big.
Update: it appears to be limescale from bottled water. I was worried it was mould or something and someone mentioned legionaries disease which got me concerned to say the least.

You should use distilled water or at least boiled and filtered water.

Use some white vinegar and let it soak for 30 minutes or so. That will completely dissolve the calcium / mineral build-up. I quit using distilled water years ago. I now just use tap water.

Plain vinegar works, cleaning vinegar works better and with less of it, and CLR (buy the generic) works well with even less, with a good rinse.
Bottled water may have more minerals than city water. A lot of it is sold with minerals as a feature.
Mostly it's limescale, which is calcium carbonate and easily dissolved with an acid.
Legionnaires disease or any bacteria would not grow on a metal plate such that you'd see it if at all. Light pink will also be a bacteria (not a fungus e.g. mildew) which would go away with vinegar or bleach or just soap and water.
