RE: Most Clear Airway episodes in the AM ?
Our house is much drier this year than normally and that air has really been drying me out. I have to sit up for a little while just to re-liquify. I haven't tried tweaks such as humidifier, though I did increase the humidity setting on the CPAP. It has been this way for weeks here, as well.

Yeah, its weird I have pretty much the same thing going on but some nights its bad and others not. When I up the humidifier I get the rainout in my mask. I think I need to see if I have the heating or the colling selection on my humidifier. I may lower the temp in the room as well.

Why would minimumg pressure & EPAP now be 0
I have recently adjusted a few settings, had one bad night and one good night, giving it a few more nights to see. But I noticed on my daily report for last night the Minimum for pressure and EPAP is 0, when it has always been 4 for both, does anyone know if maybe I set something wrong or why they would be at 0 for last night ?

[attachment=47795 Wrote:Gideon pid='466129' dateline='1675720705'][attachment=47796]First thing is that with EPR=3 your min pressure should not be lower than 7, it is 5 now. This causes a lot of fluctuation of a very useful EPR. Hi, I wanted to check in with you what you thought, the last two nights were very different AHI wise, last night was much better then the first. Could definately feel it yesterday morning, today is better, but still see tossing, maybe less though last night. But flow limit still the same. Air leaks and dry mouth, which I am thinking maybe from high pressure but not sure. Confused as to what to do pressure wise. I attached last two nights reports. Also a lilttle confused why the min for pressure and EPAP statistics is 0, never saw that before.

Daily variation.
Try Min of 7, EPR=3 The drop to EPR=2 did little so lets hit the flow limits as hard as we can.

RE: Most Clear Airway episodes in the AM ?
I am having almost the same problem. I can't figure out how to post a new thread. I use an airsense 10 bi-pap set at a fairly high pressure 18 and 13. Oscar shows I have almost no obstructive apneas, but a lot of clear air apneas, about 30 to 50 an hour. Doctor just lowered my pressure to 14 and 8. The clear air apneas got better but still not good. If I just lay there with the machine on and breath normally it still shows me having 20 or so clear air apneas an hour. How can this be? I haven't stopped breathing. I'm wide awake. I asked the doctor about it he didn't seem to be concerned and he just changed the subject. Good luck with your problem. It sounds similar.

RE: Most Clear Airway episodes in the AM ?
If it goes to 10 seconds it will count as a CA. I have always breathed slow at times and do meditations focusing on your breath. Not sure if thats why but I too can't figure out why I have so many. It doesn't seem like I would hold it that long. I know I switch sides alot and maybe holding my breath when doing that or maybe its the position I sleep in. But mine are usually from 20-40 throughout the night most under 15 seconds. I would keep an eye on it and hopefully they will continue to go down. But maybe start a new thread on it. I did search for others to see replies on those for help.

To start a new thread click on "Home" then on the top forum "Main ApneaBoard Forum"
In the upper right there is a "Start New Thread" button. I think you can take it from there.

RE: Why would minimumg pressure & EPAP now be 0
2am your machine went to zero right before what looks like it turned off. That is what OSCAR is reporting as minimum.
Did you turn it off or take your mask off at that time? Do you have the auto-stop feature turned on? I turned off the auto-stop "Smart Stop" feature on my AS11. I just don't like the idea of the machine deciding it doesn't sense a breath so it turns off.

Oh I never thought about it When i get up to use the restroom I turn it off and take mask off and then put mask on and turn it back on, not sure if that is the best thing to do in that situation ?? Would love to know the best thing to do because I do it about 2-3 times a night also mine is a smart start ? Turned off
