Change from Airsense 10 to 11

Change from Airsense 10 to 11
Airsense 10 user for the past 6 years. Recently moved to Airsense 11. Have always used mask pillows with no problems. Average AHI for past year was 1.52 with a 16.41 L/min. Since moving to the 11 my L/min avg has gone up to 23.84 but my AHI has gone down to .96. My question is this: is the Airsense 11 more sensitive to leaks than the 10? I’ve checked my tubing and mask and can’t find any problems. I can’t image I’m all of a sudden opening my mouth during sleep. Really don’t want to change from the pillows to a full mask so as long as my AHI stays reasonable I’m not going to change. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this situation. Thanks.

do you have the humidifier? take it out and make sure it's plugged in all the way.

did you select pillows as mask type on the new machine?

Yes have humidifier and it is in all the way. My machine came already set up but I will check for the mask selection. Thanks for the tip.

RE: Change from Airsense 10 to 11
At least one reviewer says the ClimateLine hose-to-machine connection at the back of the AirSense 11 can be jostled ajar if the user pulls sideways on the hose (for example, when turning over during the night and pulling a bit on the hose). The 11 does not have the same kind of ClimateLine hose-to-machine connection that the 10 has, which is apparently more secure than the ClimateLine hose-to-machine connection on the 11.

I have used the 11 on camping trips and haven't experienced this issue, but other users and at least 1 reviewer report the connection can be prone to becoming slightly askew. If you use a ClimateLine heated hose that may be the reason for your increased leak rate.

Here's the link to the review ("Nicko" on "CPAP Reviews"): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAs01WRPtGk
