Coughing all night

Coughing all night
What do you do when you're sick or having an asthma flare? I was coughing all night. I haven't looked at my stars yet. How is that going to register? Leaking?  Oh-jeez

RE: Coughing all night
When you cough, you are exhaling through your mouth. I think you will see the usual inhale bump up and then a nearly flat line - maybe with a sharp spike down if some of the exhaled breath is picked up by the mask.

If you use a full face mask I doubt that any of that applies.

Me? I'd maybe be apt to take a hit from my Ventolin rescue inhaler.

Thank you! That is exactly the info I was seeking. I'll be interested to see what my SD card info says when we get home.

Oh yes, I did, thanks! It's just been a rough few days and I am interested to see how the stats would reflect it

I'd agree with comments from pholynyk about the shape of the trace line in OSCAR.

I could take 4 double hits on my inhaler daily if I needed. Sounds like an all night coughing spell would have needed that much maybe. Then again I've got the nebby, err nebulizer too for my COPD breathing.

Best to ya. PS they say when something hurts we shouldn't do it. Smile

When I'm sick I sometimes don't wear my mask. Not great I know, but it really doesn't feel good to cough into the mask.

Thanks, all. Yes, albuterol is my friend! We were on vacation and I didn't have my regular cough meds or the nebby with me since I hadn't needed them in so long. Dropping the dog at the kennel set off my asthma and the coughing got a bit out of hand. I was able to keep using my machine (I'm still in the compliance stage) with the help of Afrin.
Side note, I love this mask. I went through 4 different ones before finding this gem. It fits very well, is comfortable, virtually no leakage and I can sleep on my side. I just have to keep my nose clear which is very doable.
