DaveCar bad night, need pressure increase ?
Hi all
Normally, my AHI score runs between a 0.1 and a 3.0  at a fixed pressure of 14.
Last night was fairly different at an AHI of 9.8.  Any ideas ?

I believe you may have fallen victem to aform of positional apnea we refer to as chin tucking. Try a pillow modification, this means flatter, thinner, less firm, one vs. two pillows etc. If that doesn't work try a soft cervical collar. These the wiki on soft cervical collar for a discussion on it, link in my signature.

Clusters of OA with flow limitation is usually what we call positional apnea. Discussed in this wiki article under Optimizing Therapy http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...onal_Apnea

RE: DaveCar bad night, need pressure increase ?
Thanks guys. I was worried about the sudden change.
Maybe I had a one-off night in some chin-tuck position, I will monitor a few nights and get a collar or shaped/thin pillow if it persists. It sounds like a pressure increase would not change this situation, glad I didnt just DIY it.

Sidethought - would it be useful for a machine to have a chime alarm when it sees an abnormal cluster, so that you might hear it (you'd be back into light sleep, right ?) and adjust your sleeping position ? Or perhaps a bluetooth vibrating wrist strap ?
