Dealing w aerophagia and probably UARS, Help

Dealing w aerophagia and probably UARS, Help
Im relatively new to CPAP trying to figure it out. My soft palate collapses just as I fall asleep. It keeps me up and is very stressful. I swallow a lot of air making harder to remain asleep. I feel the lower pressure I go, the harder to breathe but maybe less air I swallow. I can't really go above 7 something without it being uncomfortable swallowing air. Any advice? I attached some OSCAR info, not sure if its enough.. thanks

Who set you ap with CPAP?
Have you ever tried running your instrument in APAP mode to determine your optimal treatment pressure?

They might have the ResMed Elite 10 which is CPAP only.

I actually just bought it online because I was in a panic as I couldn't fall asleep. I tried APAP but all the changes kept me up as it was pretty noticable. That was in the beginning however.. Do you know if APAP would adjust to all my burping. Do you know if that what the  "clear airway" marker is?

This forum is all about it, among other vital issues.  You can look it up in Wikipedia.

Let's set it up for you.
Rund the instrument with the following parameters:
Mode APAP
Response: Standard
Min pressure: 7 cm
Max pressure 14 cm
EPR off
Ramp off
Leave the other parameter the same as you have been having.

Post your OSCAR  and report your feelings and the type of mask you use.

Hi, so I did these settings last night but unfortunately the card didn't read the graphs. I just posted the minimal stats. I uses a Respironics Dreamwear Mask (nasal cradle).. Seems the higher I go with max pressure the worse the aerophagia, but better maybe breathing. I get aerophagia even at 7 max but Im feeling this isn't helping my UARS as much now as its kind of low. Not sure what to do. Neck collar doesn't work either. Any suggestions?

Your CAs responded well to the EPR=off setting. Let's wait for the next full report. We want to see all the details, including statistics.
I am suggesting again to change the SOFT response to the STANDARD.
Also, you want to try EPR=1 to mitigate your aerophagia.

Ok.. I switched the soft to standard.. A lot of the night I did not sleep either because the aerophagia was so bad. The only thing that makes it a little better Ive noticed was turning pressure down. ..You would like to see min7 max 14 still ? I believe I won't be sleeping great if its even at 8..

We want to learn your optimum treatment pressure measured by the device. The 7-14 range is a good compromise.
