I used (when I had nose pillows) 3M surgical tape, white mircopore product. It is cheap and it didn't leave residue, I tried used K Tape too and it didn't leave residue either but I liked the surgical tape a little better. That is all personal preference mind you, but it could be worth a try if you still find the K Tape a PITA.

You can apply mineral oil, baby oil, or coconut oil to the tape when you are ready to remove it. Let sit for 5 minutes. Tape will come off along with the adhesive.
Vinegar also works using same principle but leaves a smell you then need to wash off.
