RE: Does Humidifier know when its out of water?
I would suggest it could be because of leaks or mouth breathing, that the bin isn't lasting all night.
RE: Does Humidifier know when its out of water?
I actually scorched the bottom of my tank because I inadvertently went to sleep one night without refilling the tank!
RE: Does Humidifier know when its out of water?
because of leaks mine is empty at 3 after 6 hours...
RE: Does Humidifier know when its out of water?
Leaks do cause the tank to empty a lot quicker.
But hay!
Nothing like waking up to the smell of hot metal and plastic to start your day!

yup, Been there, did that. Now I have a stain on the bottom of the tank. My question now is, does anyone know how to remove that burnt plastic smell? I have it continuously now! And that is another reason I look like my Avatar in the morning.

Is this a Resmed thing? I notice that folks experiencing a burnt plastic smell seem to be Resmed machine users. On the occasions I've run out of water overnight, I don't recall ever having a smell of any kind on my Respironics machine. YMMV.

Using no heat I get two nights with some water left over, with a setting of two my tank is less than half full after one night of 8 hrs. +/-. here has never been a burnt plastic odor.

Must be, And I bet if I go back where I got the thing from, they will say its my fault, and charge me 1k or so to replace it!
