Download SD card from Resmed S10 and MAIL IT
Hello Experts,
I am new on the apnea subject. I have contracted some clinic to get my data and analyse it from my SD card from the machine I bought - the excellent machine RESMED AUTOSET S10 - but I am get very bored with one situation:
- I still get not the right pressure to my device and it have been set to autoset from 4 to 8 from 2 weeks already, after I hire this clinic;
- To get their help I need to take my sd card to them and they are like 30 minutes away from me;
- Since I am from Brazil, resmed is not able to connect the machine automatically (different area, different connection);
- When I have asked if they know how to export and import the data they said they don´t know how to do it and, frankly, they are physiotherapists, and they do not know much about IT.
What I need to know is that if there is a way to export the SD data such way they should be able to attach it and E-MAIL to the clinic, so they could import it on the Rescan Software they have. I have downloaded the sleephead, the Rescan but I could not find anything related (sorry if I could not search properly) on the forum.
I still do not have a night with more than 5 hours sleep with my mask...
Thanks very much
Daniel
RE: Download SD card from Resmed S10 and MAIL IT
Hi dsalles -
I would suggest that you download a free archival/compression program named, 7zip. You will use it to compress and store the SD card's contents into one file for emailing.
Download and install 7zip.
Copy the SD card to a dedicated directory on your computer.
Select all the contents in this folder. An easy way is to use "CTRL-A"
Right-click on any selected file and use the 7zip option to archive these files into a 7z or zip file.
You will then attach this file to your email.
Question; If you have SleepyHead installed, why not post some daily screenshots here to see if we may help?
Good luck!

Hello,
I have tried to zip the files but the RESCAN does not recognize the files.
Thanks anyway.

Could you use something like Dropbox to copy the contents of your card to and then email a link to them?
RE: Download SD card from Resmed S10 and MAIL IT
Hello,
There is something hidden which prevents a single copy and paste of documents from the SD card. It is also valid for Sleepy Head, since it does not export data, except by .csv files. As I said the idea would be exporting the data and transmit it via e-mail to other people such way they could import in Rescan or SleepHead as they are reading directly from the SD Card.
Thanks anyway.

It has to be a two-step process on each end. You do an image copy of the whole flash card to a file on your hard drive, then use a zip program to compress it. (It's still pretty large) Then your DME/physiotherapist has to download the file, unzip it to an image file, and then copy the image to a spare flash card they have on hand... ResScan only reads from a flash card.
It's the download from Dropbox that will take the most time, aside from teaching the clinic people how to re-create the flash disk.
Or you could ask the Apnea Board people to look at your screenshots and get their advice and then make up your own mind.

ResScan is analytical software and not anything else. It won't read a compressed file structure. In order for ResScan to read the files, they will need to be decompressed back to an SD card. ResScan will not read from any other type of source.
My initial response was based on your question on how to send the files as an attachment, not read them by any software.
I diffidently would rethink paying someone else to read your data if they don't know how to decompress a zipped file and/or read the Resmed files.

Do you know how to use Sleepyhead or ResScan? Getting your graphs up isn't very complicated, and there's guides here on posting those graphs so that knowledgeable (and free!) people on this forum can advise you on settings and give you tips on the mask you're using.
