Dream Station 2 Foam removal

RE: Dream Station 2 Foam removal
Joe, I would look for an SD card that is 32GB or less. The larger 64GB cards may typically be formatted as exFAT and not FAT32. I'm not sure the DS2 could use an SD card formatted with exFAT and some computers may not have a option to reformat to FAT32 (easily). The SD card Philips may include with a DS2 is 8GB which supposedly is enough capacity for the life of the machine. I use a 1GB SD card in mine and it's worked fine. The Sandisk 32GB SD cards are readily available on Amazon and usually can be found pretty cheap. You don't need a 'super fast' SD card which has fast read and write speeds either, so cheap should work fine.

This is one I bought for use in a camera and will work in the DS2 as well.... (US Amazon link)

I put the sd card in , and nothing seemed to happen in the machine or on screen, but when I took out the SD card and put it in my PC it had files on it. I put it into oscar and my most recent data is the same as on provider mode. So that seems good, but for some reason it has data all the way back to from a year ago, but I have only had the machine at most 3 months, and it was sold to me as new from a clinic

I don't know anything about the DS2, but the ResMed machines do something similar.  After my diagnosis, I started using my wife's older Air Sense 10 that she had used for 5 years (until her Inspire implant), but she had never put in an SD card.  When I put a card in the machine, and then loaded it into Oscar, I got my detailed data of course but also got over a year of summary data from her usage.

The summary data is I think what is sent to providers and ultimately the clinic, but it is much less detailed than the data put onto the SD card.  ResMed summary data includes session start/stop times, AHI, percentage LL, CA, OA, UA, H and RE, and machine info (settings, S/N, etc).

So in your case it seems like you received a refurbed machine that was not 'wiped clean' of previous data.  Look around in provider mode for an hour (usage) meter.  If it was represented to you as a new unit, you may have a claim.
