Dreamstation & SH versions?

My Dreamstation APAP is at version 1.1.1 and my SleepyHead is 1.0.0-beta-2.  I have scanned through the threads on versions, but am looking for something that just tells me what I gain by going to 1.1.8, and if the 1.0.0 SleepyHead works with it.  I saw a post about a new SleepyHead version coming out, but no other info.

My APAP is not tied to any provider.  I manage it myself and have a WiFi SD card in it to get the results to SleepyHead on my PC.

Is there any drawback to going from 1.1.1 to 1.1.8?  I read about 6 mo ago that there was some new lock code, etc...
What are the advantages?

With the Dreamstation firmware, you gain nothing that will benefit you and it could actually ruin the machine if something goes wrong when uploading the firmware.

I thought there was something about improved CA detection?

Nothing in the upgrade summary mentioned anything about CA detection.
