[Equipment] O2 ring/weird heart rate/no other symptoms

O2 ring/weird heart rate/no other symptoms
    Greetings,
I use the Wellue O2 Ring to monitor my O2 and heart rate.  I've done this for about 2 months now.  Heart rate always really stable and mostly in the 40s for BPM.  Last night between 12:30 and 1:00a the ring said my heart rate shot up to 120-157 BPM for over 30 minutes then rapidly went back to the stable 40s for the rest of the night.  No other data (breathing rate, movement, etc.) shows anything other than peaceful sleep. The oxygen saturation also measured by that ring showed strange anomalies, but O2 stayed solid.  I suspect something went wrong with the ring, but want to know if anyone else knows of similar things happening with this ring.  I'll attach a screen shot if I can figure out how.  Another piece of data... my apple watch updated last night wirelessly and it's right next to me on the nightstand.  I wonder if this interfered with the ring's operation.  Does anyone have any ideas why the rings readings were so anomalous during those 30 minutes with no other symptoms that I know of?
Thanks!

Very interesting and strange. I've used similar devices for years and never seen anything like that or anything that accounts for an anomaly like that except when my device was very low power and only at the end before it quit. I do notice that you moved at the beginning and end of the segment, and the 02 seems to track with the elevated heartrate, so without other explanation it looks like something scared you, but you are right that respiratory rate would usually be effected by heartrate...but maybe not in REM sleep? What happened with Tidal Volume? Would you zoom in on the first 3 minute or so part that shows the increase?

Tidal volume stayed steady just like flow and breathing rate.  I've attached the zoomed in section of the first few minutes of the rise.
Thanks!

Interesting. I notice the flow rate has a sinus curve before the increased heart rate.

Are you in really good shape? If not (even so) that's a very low heart rate overall, and it dipped quite low before the increase. I'm not completely convinced the increase is a bad reading. It'll be curious to see if it happens again.

I would be inclined to suspect that you have a defective sensor in your O2Ring.  Since the SpO2 reporting remains constant, the pulse sensor might have a cold joint.  This is where the sensor doesn't have a positive connection to the ring's electronic circuit.  I would contact the vendor for possible repair/replacement options.

Thank you for your help.  I don't know how to read a "sinus curve" in the flow rate.  Can you explain what that means and how you learned how to recognize what it is?  I am a biologist and am in better shape than most for a 57 year old guy.  I work outside a lot and have to pass a pack test each year.  I walk 1.5 miles every day at a training speed.  My heart rate while sleeping is usually in the mid 40s so the rate prior to the increase is normal for me.  My cardiologist has checked my heart in various ways and hasn't been concerned about anything, though I do have PVC palpitations at times.  My normal daytime resting heart rate is in the mid 50s and none of my doctors have expressed concern.  This reading last night is really anomalous.

Thanks again for your help!

I said sinus but meant sine (S shaped), look at the closeup graph, at flowrate. I was just using sine wave as a descriptor; I don't know what it means. I just saw the waviness of the flow rate graph, which then changed to all even height breaths at the time of the change in HR which I thought was interesting.

It sounds like you are just someone with a naturally low heartrate and that that spike is really odd. Let us know what you figure out!
