I am a back sleeper, rare occasion I side sleep. Having been through numerous nasal, full face, hybrid, wisps & half masks, I am currently on the Evora, every mask I have tried have been my favorites until I found reason to try others in order to correct a fault I found with my previous favorite.
None of them were "Bad" mask, they just no longer fill my needs. Now I can tell you in the process of losing 50 pounds, I give those mask credit for enabling me to accomplish part of my *PAP journey. Just as the Oregon Trail was littered with perfectly good household effects, looking back I have left a trail of good masks behind me in my journey.
The general rule of thumb is the larger the surface area of the mask the harder to seal leak tight, also high therapy pressure lends itself to smaller surface area mask.
Currently on Evora at PS 4, 18.2 to 22.2 (cmH2O), I quite often get a 0.00 leak rate across the graphs with the Evora. I recently changed to a new Evora and have had problems getting a seal the first two weeks, now it is starting to fit my face and leak rates are dropping.
I would say give it a try, knowing some day you may have to give it up for something different,
Be sure to get the "Fit Pack" which has three different size of mask. I found I fit a larger size of mask than I measured for.
