[Equipment] SD Card reformats frequently

Obtained a new ResMed Airsense 11 about 12 months ago and inserted my own SD card; this worked well for about six months (Oscar could read SD card ok) but around 6 months ago I started getting messages every couple of nights that the SD card was being formatted.  This took about 1 minute each time  before the machine was ready.  I reformatted the SD card on my desktop computer for FAT32 but this problem has continued.  Oscar is still able to read the card and it is updated with each use.

Any ideas why the SD card continues to be reformatted every few uses and how to resolve the problem?

Do you lock the SD card before putting it in your computer?  Depending on the type of computer you have, it might be trying to write additional files to the card that messes with your CPAP machine's ability to read the card, resulting in a re-format.  One morning I forgot to lock mine before putting it in the laptop and the CPAP couldn't recognize the SD card until I re-formatted it on my laptop.

There should be a small tab on the left side of the SD card that you can move up or down - up is unlocked, down is locked.  Just don't forget to unlock it again before putting it back in the CPAP or else it won't record any additional data.

Is the SD card being reformatted and old data erased, or do you see a message like "Preparing SD Card for Use"?

I inserted the SD card into my desktop computer only once a month or two back.  Oscar read it I backed it up and then reformatted it.
The message I get every few nights is something like "wait until the SD card is formatted" and then it takes a minute or so before the air comes on.  This repeats every 2-4 days ... randomly.

Have you tried another blank SD card?

Apparently you are correct.  I swapped out  the SD card and have not had the message about reformatting since you made the suggestion.
