I use the auto start setting on my A10. The A10 is off untill I place the mask on my face and inhale. The pressure will slowly come up to my settings as I fasten the mask in place.

When trying the A10 at the DME, I used it like you do. I placed the mask on my head, and inhaled, which caused the A10 to start. (It's the same way I use my S9.)

The other option is the dreamstation I found the gentlest of the lot. Cheers Steve

RE: high AirSense 10 initial pressure?
I should have added that I also use the ramp to allow me to get the mask on and settle down before full pressure is applied. I do this to get the mask in place at the pressures I use. Without starting at the lower pressure the seals ont the mask keep blowing out while settel down to sleep. Once the mask is on and sealed is stays in place much better. It works for me until something better comes along. That is one reason to read this forum. Lots of ideas to try out. Some work for me others do not. I thank the community for making my education about Apnea better my life.
