F&P Nova Micro
I ordered the new Fisher and Paykel Nova Micro from a company in Canada in October since it wasn't available here in the States yet. It was under $100 usd so the value was okay. Shipping was a bit spendy, though. I did ask my DME and they are supposed to receive them soon.
I found the pillows to be more comfortable than my former favorite ResMed P10. The headgear seems flimsy and light so I was afraid it would stretch out quickly. I hand wash the silicone pillows every morning and the headgear every week and much to my happy surprise, everything has retained its shape.
In the 5 weeks I've been wearing it, everything stays in place. I have virtually no leaks, it's super comfortable and the fit (med) is excellent.
The exhalation ports in front blow quite a bit of air and if the bed pillow or sheet is slightly covering, they are noisy! Otherwise, I don't hear it at all. The tube comes off the front and has a swivel at both the mask and connecter ends so I don't get twisted up as I flop back and forth from side to side.
All in all, I give this mask 5 stars

RE: F&P Nova Micro
I usually don’t use nasal pillow masks but the micro looked interesting. I have tried it a few days ago. Very quiet and leaks are nil. I wish it had a diffuser since air escapes all around the small holes but it is a gentle blast of air.
I like to alternate between masks and will keep it. |
