FYI: Your FlashAir doesn't have to be in your CPAP to test it. If the WiFi works it will connect to your network when it is inserted in your computer's SD slot. You can test it by typing the IP address of the SD card in your web browser.

Also, please publish the latest contents of your CONFIG file.

Well . . . working properly, you can do things like sit at your laptop and fetch the data from your machine (I set up a Windows task to do this every morning automatically), no handling of the SD card, no forgetting to put it back in.

Here is one of my configurations. The APPNETWORKKEY value will always have asterisks replace the password after you save the file. Anytime you edit this file you will need to replace the asterisks with the actual password. If you don't and save the file, it will record the password as the asterisks and not use the correct password.

I pasted what you posted exactly as such [only with my Dlink password where it shows XXX here] in the SD_WLAN/CONFIG folder.  When 192.168.1.39 is put in the browser(Firefox) it times out.

You'll need to change that APPSSID back to your router's ID (whatever it broadcasts as its name).

First you will need to change the APPSSID value to your wireless' network name.

You will need to see what IP addresses are being used on your network.  Open the Command Prompt on your computer (Start->Run: cmd.exe)
At the prompt type: ipconfig <ENTER>
Look for the line: IPv4 Address . . . .  There will be 4 octets displayed, with each octet seperated with a "."(period).

Use the first 3 octets and look for an available number for the last value.
(Note: If your using a D-Link, chances are good that your network is 192.168.0.xxx)

To set a static IP:
1. Find the main IP number that your network uses. (example: 192.168.0.xxx) The last number (xxx) is unique to each device on your network.

2. Pick a number that you feel may be available. (Most people will pick numbers that end in either 0(zero) or 5. That is why I go for odd numbers. . .  like the ".39" I used)

3. Test the selected IP to see if it answers back by pinging the IP number. (command prompt example: ping 192.168.0.39)

If the "Reply from" contains bytes, time and TTL values, then that address is in use so you will need to pick another number and try it.  Repeat until the "Reply from" states "Destination host unreachable"
4. When you find an available address, assign it to the IP_Address= variable in the CONFIG file.

I found a program ANGRY IP SCANNER that pings a block or single IP number for status.  192.168.0.39 was not used so it was inserted as IP_ADDRESS.  I can ping the router (DIR-655) and it pops up in the browser instantly.  192.168.0.39 or any other available IP grinds about 15 seconds or so then always 'times out'.

Q- Was the bracketed [WLANSD]/[Vendor] and the space between the two data blocks meant to be in the code?

Q- Was APPNAME=S9 assigned by the code or was it pointing to something named in your system?

Q- Any other way besides pinging to check if the card is alive?

Q- Are dots (.) in network name or password recognized?
