Oscar is fabulous. Here's a suggestion to make it even better:
Bookmarks should be associated with a new type of event called a Bookmark which should have a corresponding line in the Event Flags pane.
There should be a way to mark cursor positions by a keystroke or alt-clicking. The time position of the cursor and the amplitude of the graph (such as flow rate) should appear next to the cursor. When a second marker is laid, the delta-t and frequency (as in bpm) should also appear.
There should be a way to scroll through the timeline such as alt-scroll-wheel.
I'm trying to envision what you propose. Are you saying that when you use a bookmark for that day, it would add a line to the Events graph and place a marker like it does for an event?
The second part sounds like you are describing the zoom feature.

Red,
Thank you for the questions. On the bookmark graphic, yes, as shown attached.
On the cursor markers, see the attached graphics for single and double markers. These could be particularly useful for assessment of hypopneas including whether the event is physiologically significant or was it the machine overly sensitive. The area under the curve for a selected range could be used to assess the ventilation during an incident; in addition, area under the absolute value of ventilation could be useful for comparing ventilation during normal to abnormal periods.
OK! Next question, do you envision these bookmarks to be recorded for recall at future OSCAR sessions, or only during the current OSCAR session. The latter would be easier.

Red,
Thank you for your interest. The marking system should be a three-part continuum starting with the current vertical-line cursor (with the amplitude value added), then the markers, and finally with a right-click option to save the markers as a bookmark. The cursor and markers can be temporary, but the bookmarks should be saved in the Journal XML file for future reference.
