Finally Taking The Reins Myself. Oscar Assistance
Very long story short but going on near two years with a CPAP and have always just listened to the doc and done just as they say. Recently have not been sleeping to well so made an appt. The doc office is super nice but only glanced at my "chart" and said yep all looks good see you in one year. I disagreed and told them I'm feeling more tired, daytime sleepy etc and it was as simply as "Oh we can bump the pressure up one cm.
So I started researching and found this forum,Oscar and all the great info on the web. I'll take this matter into my own hands because I feel I know myself better than someone glancing at a chart of AHI from a full year. It was extremely obvious shortly into reading my charts on Oscar that my AHIs have been all over the board for last two years that settle at roughly 5.5AHI as an average.
I'm reading threads, watching YT videos and trying to soak some of the info up so that I can study my own charts to full understand them and hopefully get the best sleep of my life. Currently am 37 years old and have had major sleep issues(always tired, groggy, sleepy, daytime sleepiness etc) since I can remember even as a kid. I'd be very much obliged if yall would take a look at my chart from last night and see if anything jumps out that needs to addressed or simply give an opinion.
On this chart I had turned off C-Flex completely but have had it on level 3 the whole time before simply because the doc set it at that. I felt like I was able to breathe MUCH easier with it off and did not feel like I was fighting the machine as much. Noticed in older charts with CFlex that even when CPAP demanded 11cm the max was usually 10 or 10.2. Lot of times my AHI is around 7-8 and then will have one good night that it drops to 3 or so.
Thank yall for taking the time to read and give any info. I hope I can learn and become a help to the community as well.
