I was using a pillow mask before and was getting high leak rate on OSCAR due to mouth breathing so I stopped therapy while I wait for my new mask to arrive. I changed to a FFM, BMC F1A. I don't feel well rested after waking up so if someone can have a look at my OSCAR data, I will appreciate it. I also don't feel comfortable with the mask resting on the bridge of my nose, it made falling alsleep hard, any remedy for that?

First night with new mask. Check my OSCAR, please
Hi all,
I was using a pillow mask before and was getting high leak rate on OSCAR due to mouth breathing so I stopped therapy while I wait for my new mask to arrive. I changed to a FFM, BMC F1A. I don't feel well rested after waking up so if someone can have a look at my OSCAR data, I will appreciate it. I also don't feel comfortable with the mask resting on the bridge of my nose, it made falling alsleep hard, any remedy for that?

RE: First night with new mask. Check my OSCAR, please
You might want to consider the new resmed F40 mask. It sits under your nose and over your mouth. But it doesn't sit on the bridge of your nose. I can't be much help yet with your settings but I am sure the experts will be along shortly to help.

RE: First night with new mask. Check my OSCAR, please
It's not unusual to have a chart littered with events when you switch masks, particularly full face masks. Your leak rate is pretty well controlled. Getting accustomed to a new mask may take some time. I agree with the comment about the F40 mask - or the F30 if you can't tolerate the nose bridge pressure - though you may get use to it after a few days. It may be premature to change settings before you're comfortable in the mask and able to sleep. I'd certainly ignore all those CAs for now. If you don't count them, you had reasonable control of other events despite your discomfort. Wear the mask around, nap with it, see if you can get comfortable with it.

RE: First night with new mask. Check my OSCAR, please
I would up your minimum pressure to to at least 8cm perhaps 9cm. This should help get rid of some of your OA's. The clear airways are not to bad some are happening while you are going to sleep and waking up which is not unusual. Try the new pressures for a few days then post some more charts.
I am not an expert...just a long time user.
