First 3 weeks of therapy
I just finished my first 3 weeks on Bipap ASV. The results are mixed - not great, but not awful, given my original study.
AHI from study - 58.3
AHI from therapy - 6.2 to 23.8 up and down from day to day.
Machine says epap 90% ~ 10.
Clear air way apneas range fro 2 - 43, majority <10
Obstructive apneas 0 - 42 large majority < 10
Hypopnea - 25 - 130 they are responsible for the largest portion of the AHI.
6.2 hrs average therapy per night.
Unfortunately sleepyhead will not work with my machine - Dreamstation ASV so I can't show much in the way of data.
I have follow up appointment with the sleep doc on October 17.
Any comments, suggestions, ideas are appreciated.

You are improving! Keep trying, stay positive because you know that the therapy is going to help. How do you feel?

Your profile truncates your settings. What is your PS range?
Glad to hear it's an improvement, but sorry it doesn't meet expectations.

PS range 0-20.
Thanks for the reply and encouragement. I've been faithful to my therapy since day one, even when I was hunkered down in a motel waiting out hurricane Irma.

Some ASV users find a minimum pressure support of 2 can help with hypopnea without increasing centrals. You might want to try it and see if it is comfortable for you. A zero PS min setting is used when centrals increase as a result of the minimum PS, but the machine should be triggering breaths in that case.

I forgot to mention that my machine is set to Flex 2. Perhaps changing it to 1 or 3 would also help.
