Yes. EPR full-time, setting 3. It seems to work for most people and if upper airway restrictions/flow limitation is present, it treats it. Sometimes people start without EPR, but I really don't see the point.

This is incorrect you can take out extras cover without hospital cover. The extras cover provides $400 - $500 towards the cost of the machine. There are 2 provisos to this, you had have a sleep report from a sleep specialist/ pulmonologist NOT a GP and you must have served any cooling off period 12 - 24 months, depending on the fund.

RE: First time here!
My results from the first night.
I wonder how I can fix the leak. They advised me to try the N30i mask, but whenever I did the mask fit test it would leak because of pressure, so I used the P30i which was a lot better but still leaked

I do currently have extras. As far as I've checked so far, you need hospital cover to be able to have assistance with purchasing the machines, otherwise they won't cover it..
The extras wasnt even needed in the case of the consultation in February, that's a Medicare rebate thing.
So what are the chances that Sleep HQ would use exactly the same statistics we have adopted through much discussion in Oscar and present the graphs in an identical UI?

Jnathanc, would you please post this as an Oscar Daily Detail chart so I can see the relevant respiratory and settings information? I know SleepHQ is a thing with Nick, but my preference is the more complete info on Oscar with Events, Flow Rate, Pressure or Mask Pressure, Flow Limitations, Leaks, etc.
From your chart, the EPR is OFF, and that is not the condition I suggested. From what I see on your SleepHQ graph, turn EPR on Full-time at 3 and increase minimum pressure to 9.0.

No amount of cover or extras will cover a private consult with a doctor/specialist.
I am with BUPA and have general extras and am eligible for 60% or a maximum of $500, on a CPAP machine. Can be claimed every 2 years. MUST have a sleep study that recommends CPAP from a sleep specialist or pulmonologist NOT a GP. Sleep study is good for 10 years.
Mike54, what is "cover or extras"? What is BUPA? You seem to have a good grasp of getting CPAP coverage in AU, but I'm not familiar with the terminology.
